hi,
i recently installed centos-4 on my machine and i want to now reconfigure apache, and php, to use postgresql --- is there some documentation as to how i go about doing it???
thanks

i guess they are installed through the rpm packages --but still do i remove the package completely and then download them to reconfigure it...or after removing the packages do i download the source files and then configure it while installing??
thanks

kaancho12,

You're probably better off compiling sources rather than using the RPM's, but if you're more comfortable with RPM's, you could probably do it that way.

From what I've read, you don't need to make any changes to the install options for Apache or PHP, but you may need to change a few lines in your php.ini.

I'm fairly sure that php is able to interact with postgreSQL right out of the box, although I've never tried to do so.
