Recompile VCL

i had to include 2 new constants in DBConsts. how do i compile this unit ?

I don't think it's wise to edit the vcl code. I personally would create my own Globals unit (in the project) and stick the constants in there.

yes, i agree. besides i found what was the problem. i'm trying to move my 3dr party components to delphi 7 and i'm having a LOT of problems.

do you (or anybody) knows how to replace the IFormDesigner ?

Are you trying to migrate Infopower stuff? I tried (and failed) to move infopower 2000 from Delphi 5 to delphi 6, and it wasn't very much fun.

It seems like I remember the DesignIntf.pas (or something like that) module was a big problem in the migration.

no, i'm trying to move Dev Express components (QuantumGrid, ExpressBar, etc) from Delphi 5 to 7.

fortunetely it's almost done. i's been a hard work but i'm getting there.

thank god we don't use skins anymore.

Hmmm if you had bought Dev Express components for D5 then they should sent you the link to D7 components for free. And if you had got them from some other source then get D7 version there as well. Why making problems out of nothing?

we are already in the process of upgrade this components. i was just trying to see if the process would be too complicate.
