Hi,

Just wondering if any of you guys have ever used training CD's to help you get started in flash?

Maybe I'm lazy, but I have found this method to be a fast way to learn a new program

Could you please recommend some, or even some which are not so good.

Thanks again!

Flash comes with some great tutorials, many more are available online at sites like
Otherwise visit your friendly neighborhood bookstore and pick up a book or two that is appropriate to your skill level. There are a ton of those as well (and most all of them come with a CD of some sort).

If you want guided tutorials you might try somewhere like
Hope it helps.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!

Thanks for those tips and links. Will do.

Flash seems like a pretty steep learning curve when compared to other programs (illust. photshop, InDesign etc)

Nah.. I think basic Flash is very easy to learn. The toolsets are almost exactly the same as those found in illustrator and photoshop.

Advanced Flash has a bit more of a learning curve.

Funny really... I've never heard anyone accuse Adobe of having a low learning curve! :)

What about the tutorials in the help menu of flash. You just have to read through it. It's a pain, but it's the only way. Once you know the program pretty well, you'll never be able to go back do it so if you're new this is the time.
