I found Microsoft's "minimum" specs for hardware to run Office 2000, but based on past experience these specs are inadequate.

Are there documented "recommended" specs for Office 2000? If not, what is your experience? JL Filler,Wilton Public Schools, Wilton CT

It really depends on what else you have on your machine. Sounds like a vague answer, but until recently, I was using Office 2K on a 200Mhz Pentium wih 32MB of memory. The machine had very little else installed and everything worked fine (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access). Performance was reasonable and it never crashed (yeah I know - lucky huh??!!)

My recommendation as far as my experience is concerned is the following:

Minimum 600Mhz Pentium II
128MB memory
I would also go for around 200MB of disk too

Hope that helps!
