Hello all.
Could someone please recommend a good book/publisher/author that will help me get started with VB.NET?
Thank you.
-Mike

I like the "Complete" series. They are called "Visual Basic.Net Complete", "XYZ Complete", etc. They are bright yellow. They usually run about $20. Check your local bookstore.

One book that I found very helpful is from Wrox: "Beginning VB.NET 2nd Edition"
ISBN# 1-86100-761-2. You could follow up with "Proffesional VB.NET 2nd Edition"

I am currently reading a book written(?) by DEITEL ( which is an excellent book IMHO

It is "Visual Basic .NET..How to program" (ISBN 0-13-029363-6)

Good luck
Kevin

The "must-have" magazines are MSDN Magazine, and Visual Studio Magazine.

The book I got the most info from was: Visual Basic .NET step by step. It's a Microsoft Press book. although it was a little pricey, it has changed my programming point of view greatly.

Have fun and Good luck!
