Hi
What are recommended LTO2 parameters (blocksize...)when using with AIX 5.3.
The LTO library is used without any commercial backup tools.

Set the block size to 0, the device is treated as variable block size, and the size passed to write becomes the physical block size.

I'd create a filesystem on the server with 1mb, 10mb & 100mb files and have a play with different block sizes and settings to find the optimum for you needs.

What are you using to backup dd,cpio, tar, savevg, mksysb?
