Recommended Experience for Certification

Hi,

I recently took DBA Fundamentals I course. I started reviewing for the test using SelfTest Software.

However, I do not have any actual experience with the tool.

I would appreciate any input regarding preparing for the DBA Fundamentals I course and having actual experience.

It sort of depends on your other background and experience. For instance, if you done other administration work on another db besides Oracle, then it will certainly be easier.

I would encourage you to get the Personal edition, install it and play with it as part of your preparation. Go through each of the Self Test questions, try things out, read the explanations THOROUGHLY (right & wrong answers) to understand why each correct answer is correct and why each incorrect answer is incorrect.

When you can get a 90-100% score on the practice test, then you'll be ready....
