Recommended Database Size for Exchange 2000

Greetings,
I am running an Exchange 2000 mail server. I was wondering if there is a recommended database size, or any best practices for this server.
I had done extensive searching in the Microsoft Knowledge Base and came up with nothing.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Less than 16GB unless you have enterprise edition. :) Marc Creviere
