Recommended Anti Virus Software for Linux Server

Can some one please suggest the best anti virus software that could be used on Linux server. Have anyone tried ClamAV. If yes, how much do you rate the same.

Any comments would be highly appreciated.

My suggestion for a Linux AV would be ClamAV.

I use it (though only as a email scanner) and have found it to be a very well designed application.

There are products available that integrate ClamAV with other products such as spamassassin which are also listed on their site (I think MailScanner is the most popular of these)

ClamAV is free, but I do recommend that if you use it especially on a server you 1) signup for the update notification list and 2) if you can donate 10 or 15.00 per year upgrade what ever to show your support.

I have been using ClamAV now for about one and a half year and it has proven itself as good tool for scanning (emails).
Tests have shown that ClamAV is usualy not capable of finding older viruses but newer ones are found without troubles.
Never got any virus mail through the mail server since I use ClamAV ...

One more thing to note:
If you are using ClamAV run clamd and use the clam client to scan viruses, I had a setup with clam for scanning without using clamd and performance was quite poor, got a nice boost with clamd and client setup.

Another one I would like to suggest is the F-Secure soluton. It detects older viruses as well and it is neither Open Source nor FreeWare:

So .. one of those 2 will be fine for scanning.
