recommendations for equipment

Hi Guys.,

Im going to be setting up a wireless network in a house with huge thick walls, and has a history of problems with wireless network at this property.

Im a bit out of touch with the latest developments in wireless technology and just wondered what is the most powerful technology that gives the best signal at the moment. I think that it is currently up to wireless N isnt it ? Is it much improment over G?

If anyone can recommend particulr make and models that would be great.
