We have used Arcserve 2000 for our backup strategy with Exchange 5.5 and have had ongoing issues with the agent and multiple support calls placed. We are moving to a Exchange 2003 server and would like to get any feedback on backup software. It is possible for me to upgrade to a newer version however there are other good products out there.

Just attended a E2k3 seminar and they said Win2k3's Backup program is good enough.

I am currently using Veritas Backup Exec 9.0 build 4454 which with a patch support exchange 2003 and it works great. I have had horrible experiences with CA products in the past, so I know where you are coming from.

I believe there may be some limitations with the built in backup program within windows 2003, such as the ability to restore a single message, rather then a whole mailbox, but I could be wrong.
