recommendation on cordless

I am needing to get a couple of cordless phones, that being said, I want them to be "durable" i.e. you can drop or otherwise abouse the Handset without it having problems, good battery life, be ok for things like motors running in the vicinity, and not cost alot i.e. something in the $150-$250 range,

Engenius is the best solution over all, but not in the price range you were asking for. Look at the Panasonic line they have some in your price range.

We have the Engenius phones working in a warehouse, so they do have great range. You can get them with a rubber boot that fits over the phone as well in case the phone is dropped alot. Our guys drop them when they climb on the forklift, but the boot protects them from any damage. They are a little more than you are looking to spend, but will last longer than most cordless phones on the market.

I think I will take a look at the various panasonic cordless sets, I like the engenius phones as I have them in other locations where range is more of a issue, and they work well BUT, as for my application I don't see them as ever more then 100" from the base, I will have to make sure it can withstand the "drop test" however, and perhaps get a demo

In Canada Anixter provided our company with a Demo unit for 3 weeks to try it out. We liked it for its durability and range in a powerhouse environment. It also has an external antenna if you need more range, more expensive but the vibration mode really helps when you are in a noisy environment 90db and up.

I think I will Ask the Local anixter Rep what kind of cordless Phones they can demo as as I know these unit will need to take some degree of a beating (as he has been asking about what kind of "stuff" he can sell me,)
