We are running a 3d piping software package on top of AutoCAD and the models can grow over 10mb.

Right now in my machine I have a 3D LABS Oxygen VX1 PCI 16MB. Is this card ok?

Recommendation would much be appreciated. IT is doing a follow up on my machine to see how the 3D Labs card is working out. I still get fatal errors. See my other posts on that topic.

That sounds like a pretty good card to me. We use Elsa cards and have had no problems. Their drivers for AutoCAD are extremely fast. We use both Synergy2 and Gloria2. The Gloria is a much better 3D card while the Synergy is a good 2D card.
