Is there a book out there that explains how to design a website that can be viewed in BOTH netscape 4 and internet explorer 5? i'm finding myself being VERY confused between style sheets, cascading style sheets, html tags, etc. etc.
i'm new to web page design and i am trying to learn dreamweaver. i'm a graphic designer and very fluent in photoshop, illustrator, etc. but would like to know "top to bottom" "start to finish" what is the procedure? i'm bouncing back and forth (after i design it in photoshop) between image ready, fireworks and just straight to dreamweaver... and in dreamweaver i'm bouncing back and forth between using CSS and getting confused what i should use there (class, redefine html, or css selector)... i have no set "concept" of what i should be doing/using where or when... any good books out there? i just want to design a website that is compatible with the above referenced browsers not using any deprecated HTML tags... whew!
