Trying to find some solutions for rogue machine scanning/detection. The few that I have found, network monitors with some type of rogue scanning, fail due to the fact that they only work if the rogue machine responds to icmps. So for a rogue machine with blackice or some firewall software installed its not picked up by the rogue scanning.
My eyes are starting to bleed from all the web searches, its time to ask what others are using on this subject. Thank you
