I am running an Option 11 at one site and just had a T1 installed. This is the only T1 in this switch and when I stat it this is what I see just about any time of the day. Now it has been configured to have outbound calls go out of the option 11 and inbound calls come through our main PBX at head office - a 61.

With limited knowledge, I have printed all of the ROUT's and added up the MAX on all of them and I get a total of 20.(2 routs have 10 each) The rest have no such MAX or MIN.

So 2 questions. 1 - If there is no MAX specified, does that mean that only one call at a time can go through that rout? 2 - What would you guys recommend I do because my boss wants to see just about every channel be busy. Needs to know he spent his money wisely

with no max set, outbound can use any vacant channel.. the only reason for min/max is to control a flood of either inbound or outbound calls. the only way your going to see 20 busy trunks if for 20 people to be on the phone all talking to the for end of those routes. as long as isa in in service, a min on the 81 would block x number of routes from the 81 for inbound.. ie if you have 15 usesrs calling the opt 11, min 15 the next call from the 81 would hit a busy, blocking the vacant trunks for inbound... i have never had a reason to use isa between tie's.. let traffic decide which trunks are in use in which direction.. we set min mix on our inbound did group, 230 trunks, that keeps a flood of calls from hitting the hosp and blocking all outbound traffic.. a major accident, school bus, airpalne etc would be the only possible times those params would come into play...
