Will add a new person soon, and hand off my toner to them to get myself a new one. Any suggestions on upgrading from the standard toners to the wire map testers, etc., etc. I am considering an all in one solution if I can get toner into somehting with more capabilities, coming from you guys field recomendations. Model numbers, and sopecific beneftis would be helpful.

Thanks guys. Wiring I do is from co-ax to cat 6, and anyhitng in between.

I have a couple of AINES 240ds

but since I got this progressive greenlee kit its all I use

I can use my ts25d for tone but I have only used ti occasianlly

I use the Seimons STM8 when I need to tone data lines

I like to have more than one tool for the job and then use what best fits the application

skip,
I have the same progressive unit that you have, maybe I should just get a new one? Mine is a few models older maybe. How does the Aines differ, it looks pretty similiar? I also have a fluke unit the intellitone 200 toner and probe for wire mapping. I like it, but it takes a little getting used to.

aines is said to have a stronger tone .

I lost my probe a year or so ago and wound up getting the kit on eBay for 65

the aines doesent fit in the pouch so I just started using the progressive tone

the aines has a rj11 plug , I wish the progressive had that feature
