Recognizing Allocated time on imported media!

We have a Windows 2003 server hosting backup exec 10d. We would like to move it to another server, so I've installed a fresh install of BackupExec and also recreated the same B2D folders that point to the same shares as the old installation. After running inventories and catalogs of the media, I have come to find that the "Date Allocated" only reflects when I first ran the inventory and NOT when the media was actually written to.

When I switch to using the new server, I would like our media overwrite policies to still be in effect (aka I want the new install to know when it is allowed to overwrite the imported media)
