Recognise/colour code syntax in .SHTM files

I am using Visual Interdev effectively as a smart editor to develop ASP & HTML code. Many of my HTML files have server side includes and hence are named with .shtm extensions. When I open a .htm file the editor automatically colour codes the text but it does no colour coding for .shtm files.

Is there anyway to override this behaviour - i.e. colour code the .shtm syntax?
