Seeking a recommendation:
I'd like to add a RAID5 (4 drive) external drive chasis to an existing desktop that I'm using as a home server. I want to store media on the RAID space and retrieve it from points within the home. The desktop itself is less than a year old, but will require a low-profile PCI card.
Q) Are any USB solutions worth considering?
Q) Harware RAID card recommendations (low cost, but needs good linux support for some console-based management/monitoring of the array)
Q) External chasis vendors you like and why.
Thanks! D.
