Reclaim Issue

My company is still using LTO2 and LTO3 tapes with 4 LTO2 drives and 4 LTO3 drives.

When the reclaim starts the four LTO2 drives are starting the reclaim ( 2 sessions ). The LTO3 reclaim is only running in 1 session. The other two LTO3 drives are idle.

How can I check why the drives are not able to start a reclaim session? Or do I need to add the two drives to a special group?

Hi There,

If you look at your lto3 storage pool, you may see that you only allow 1 reclaim process to check this do a "q stg <your lto3 tape pool> f=d" and look for "Reclamation Processes: 1" . Try changing that to 2 buy running "upd stgpool <your lto3 tape pool> reclaimp=2" then kick off your reclamation again.
