I have a client that has a 2003 terminal server with 1 TS Device license. That computer that had this license died completely. What do I need to do in order to use this license on another machine?

Thanks in advance.

So you have 1 Terminal Server Client Access License on your Terminal Server Licensing Server? This is usually a domain controller.

If you call them and tell them that the computer with the license died, they will issue you another license. The way to do this is to change the activation method to "Phone" and get the 800 or 888 phone number to call for activation. Tell them exactly what happened and that you are replacing that device with a new device and they will issue you an actiavation code to activate a new license.

I've done this many times in the past for clients, but it has been a couple of years. Someone correct me if I'm wrong or if they've changed the process, but this is the way I've always done it when clients replace computers or they die.
