Our company's users are set up with mail files on our server. I have everyone set to use Recipient Name Type-Ahead "Local then Server" and I have them all set to use Recipient Name Lookup "Exhaustively check all address books".

The problem is that if the user has a contact named Mark in his local address book and a user named Mark in our company directory, they type in "Mark" hit enter and it automatically uses the Mark entry name in the local address book. It never finds the Mark we have listed in our Company Directory. It happens to all users and all similar names.

Anyone know of a way to force it to see the users in our Company Directory on the Type ahead? We'd rather have it search only the server directory if we can only use one.

Thanks,
Travis

You can replicate the company address book down, then in file - prefrences - user prefrences - mail add the name of the company address book before names.nsf and it should search the company address book first then the user's local address book.

NOTE: If you do this, when people send e-mail to groups, the e-mail will show all the recipiant names insted of the group name.

Don't drink and post, save that for driving home!

Thank you CJ,

We'll give that a try for some folks and see how it works out.

Thanks again,
Travis
