The following error message is appearing when an email is sent to a specific address.
"Recipient name is not recognized"
The address has been double and triple checked, and I have been assured by the tech at their end that other emails are being received on this address.
He believes that the message was not passed as a SMTP message but was handled locally (as an exchange message using X400 messaging)
Why is this happening and is there a solution?

The email address will have been generated using something other than the Internet address template. The type should be SMTP, but instead you'll probably find its something like mailto.

Did you ever get a resolution? We are having a similar occurence. Most of the internet mail is going out through the exchange server without a problem, except for excite.com members. Appreciate any info.
