I can send mail no problem, but I can't recieve it. Any ideas why this might be? I am relitivly new to exchange. It is ver. 5.5 with sp 4.

I can ping the mail server from the outside world and I can ping it's domian name ex.
I can also recieve internal mail.

Any ideas would be a big help

Does your ISP or whoever is hosting your domain have an MX record in DNS with the address of your Exchange Server? The outside world finds your email server through this record.

'Inbound and outbound' on the 'connections' tab on IMS properties in administrator is selected right?

Also, check that your smtp and X400 address is all correct in the properties of your mail box.

Is this just affecting you?

How do you connect to your server?

cheers
