Recieving Email Error

Heya,

Using OL 2002 and I am having a problem in recieving email. The error I am getting is "The connection to the server was interrupted".

The send works find - tested
The receive works fine - if there are NO message waiting
The receive errors out - if there are messages waiting

This is definitely a problem with outlook and not the isp because...

1) I have set up the account on another computer and it works fine sending and receiving
2) I have added a completely different account (different POP3 etc..) on the problem PC and it too error's on the receive
3) I have gone up to the ISP server an cleared all pending message and started with fresh test one in case one of them was corrupted in some way

It seems as if OL is downloading the message, I can see them being recieved then just before it put them in the database, it decides to error out

I am using ZoneAlarm, but I have turned that off completely, also any Anti-virus stuff for testing.

Any ideas?

Could be a corrupt pst file stopping the download of new messages. You can run the scanpst.exe utility on your pst file to check for inconsistencies -

You may also want to check for updates at officeupdate.microsoft.com as service packs sometimes resolve such problems.
