Receptionist line acccess

Receptionist phone has main line showing..( analog) all other lines routing through PRI.. Receptionist only has one line to comming in. How do I assign more incomming lines on receptionist phone.

Are you talking about adding more PRI appearances or analog lines. You're post is not clear.

Sorry..
Thats the "hunt for red october", coming in blind and looking for the call routing after the main line(from the providers hunt group) Belive it may actually route to a few analog and then forward to PRI from there..

For PRI go deeper and assign as many appearances as needed.

ok Just got more info, It is a PRI, Assigned under PRI-A

however the main line button(recieveing calls) is asigned under line 157..
backing up a little......
This situation came up because the receptionist could not dial out, under "9" or the main line#157,( is set to inbound only). so we copied a working extension (that can outbound on "9") and reprogrammed her spacific buttons. We just need more appearances for the main line.
guess the question is how to assign a PRI appearance for the main line on her phone?

go deeper into that line until you see Appearances and assign as many appearances as needed.

Assigning line 157 target line to receptionist. Lines/show/show line/ 157/target line/next/line type/public or private/next/rec. digits/enter last 4 digits of main line....I would then assign as many intercom buttons to her ext. as needed based on call volume. Maximum is (8) Other incoming calls will ring on those intercom locations.
If you are going to assign that line to more than 1 ext.(public)if only receptionist (private)

Now my question to you Curly(respectively of course)is, what do you mean by assign as many appearances as needed??????

Normal Line Appearance - lets you put an appearance or that line on the phone
Target Line Appearance - lets you put multiple appearances of that same target line on a phone.


Appear and Ring - Puts several appearances to handle the volume, they will show up just like normal lines top left of phone.

Ring Only - like what your saying or probably do all the time....add a few Intercom keys to handle the volume.

Either or works fine.

Multiple Appearances for Target Line on same phone..Terminal and Sets/Show/Show Set/enter ext./Line Access/Show/Line Assignment/Show Line/157/Appear and Ring or Ring Only/Show/Appearances/enter number of appearances....Gotcha
