receptionist can't pickup incoming call automatically

Sounds like it's not picking up the ringing line... ran into this helping my ex at her office.
-make sure that the 'ringing line' actually rings on the phone in question (and that they're not just hearing it ring from another set)
-try resetting the system. That's what fixed it for me.
Maybe someone else will have other suggestions...
