Reception phone buttons lit up all red during call

Wondering if anyone has had this issue before,

Main phone,212k with 2 bb24. Once in a blue moon, the reception phone buttons turn all red( 212k and the BB24) during a call. The call continues with no problems but it just seems very odd behavior from the phone.
We've moved the connection to different shoregears thinking it may be a resource problem but that wasn't it. Gave each equipment its own connection to the switch providing POE.
Replaced the cabling for all 3 components and verified firmware levels.
The system is at version 14.2

Anybody got some ideas, that would be greatly appreciated.

Did you observe the mode of the phone? The only time the keys normally light up is when the phones goes into another mode other than Standard.
