When a call goes to VM, and 0 is pressed, the name of the Receptionist is played before transferring. Is anybody aware of a way to remove that announcement? I have reached out to my vendor, and have looked all over, but I cannot find anything. I have actually been told that what I am trying to do is not possible.

TIA

What type of voicemail
Embedded or VMPro

What extension does 0 target to in manager

Not sure why your Vendor said its not possible I can think of a way right now using embedded voicemail... even more possible with VM Pro.

How you could make this happen:
Create a shortcode going to an Auto Attendant, maximum inactivity 0, no selectors, and make sure the fallback on the ICR is set to the receptionist.
Record the receptionist name on the Auto Attendant.
Set the DTMF breakout as the shortcode that goes to the Auto Attendant.

You hit 0, it goes to the AA, which plays the greeting which is the receptionist name, and then it transfers to the receptionist because she is the fallback.

So as Snowman asked we need to know what 0 is targeting.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
