Recently networked 3 sites using P2P circuits and Adtran 604 routers. Everything is working except each remote site can only dial local numbers by dialing 1 plus area code and phone number. Also they cannot dial 800 numbers. From main site do not need to dial area code for local #'s and can dial 800#'s. Sites are setup via PRI. Also remote sites when dialing do not show caller ID info. Thanks in advance!

You have to tell each site what extensions are at each other site and which trunks they have by using completing UDP programming. Search this site for UDP.

You can also read the Network Reference document for the Legend/Magix. It covers this stuff, and it is free from support.avaya.com

That is all done. I can call from site to site via extension #. I have centralized voice mail working. They can also dial out. The remote sites just need to dial the area code to dial local calls and they cannot dial 800 calls for some reason

Start with table 2-4 in Network Reference
Adjust ARS and route tables

Question on ARS tables and UDP. These sites are less than 3 miles apart and they are in the same local calling range. From what I read hiding the area codes and such are for sites that are in different dialing ranges. Do I still have to hide the area code even though it should be a local call. Calls only work from remote sites when dialing area code.
