Opening Outlook brings the following error: A recently installed program is causing Outlook and other email programs to malfunction. Outlook can fix this problem...etc.
Accepting produces the following message: Outlook is unable to fix...etc. Please restart your computer.
Restarting, also in safe, and starting outlook results in the same error. Off on a look for the program, but if anyone has an idea what to do, please. The only non OS process from a recently re installed program is Palm. Stopping it has no influence. Eudora is acting oddly as well, causing memory dumps on sending and corrupting mailboxes (that another time).
History:
Windows update resulted in a series of restoration and reinstalls (so which program is not easy). In essence all windows fixes are recent installs, Palm, Avast, more.
