Recent Folder

I currently have a Win NT domain which has Win2k servers as its members (The PDC is a Win NT server). On the Win2k servers there a folder in the Documents and Settigns folder for each user who has looged in. In each users folder there is a folder called Recent which contains shortcuts to every file and folder opened by the user. As you can imagine these folders are getting larger by the day and I am tired of cleaning them out manually. My question is : How do I stop these shortcuts from being created?

I have a feeling that I need to use the Polcy Editor (Poledit) to stop this but I can't find the option for this.

Am I thinking along the right lines or am I barking up the wrong tree, any help would be gratefully received.
