My company has asked that I get the ACE9 certification and I've been through the training and I'm in the midst of taking the exam. I read previous threads about questions being graded "incorrect" when the answers were, in fact, correct.

As a test, I submitted my first few answers and sure enough, two already came back as "wrong" when the course says otherwise AND I can actually use the product to do what I answered. Although I could be wrong, I feel pretty confident I have the right answers and have asked some other resident Crystal power users to validate the questions too. I've sent email to ace@crystaldecisions.com about the problem but haven't gotten a reply yet (it's been a few days).

Has anyone had a recent experience with the ACE9 exam, and what was the best method to get in touch with BusinessObjects so I can work with someone to discuss the situation?

Thanks!

Hello,
I took the ace9 exam about 5 months ago and had about 6 questions that the exam marked wrong that were actually correct. After quite a bit of phone calls, I ws able to get it fixed. I have a contact name at home that I'll dig out for you.

I think that they have the same problem with some of the new CRCP and CECP exams....

I had the same problem. I took the test and I KNOW 3 of the 5 questions that were marked wrong were right. Did you know you could print the exam? Print it out and answer the questions, then go back and fill them in. Which questions are you disputing. One of mine was about report parts.

The test actually comes from a pool of questions, so it's very possible we found different discrepancies. I actually had 7 questions marked wrong that I disputed. They ranged over a variety of topics. Obviously, I can't post the exact questions here, but some of the topics involved stored procedures, using Excel as a datasource, the repository, and templates. You name it, there's probably a topic with a mistake.

I had printed out the exam and taken it that way. I'd recommend anyone do that who needs to take the test.

In my case, there was no resolution or grade change since I passed the exam, even with the incorrectly graded questions. However, being the SME for crystal at my company, I did email OEM support (we're a partner) and they confirmed I had the questions right (which I needed to know). Emails that I sent directly to ace@crystaldecisions.com went unanswered. I had to go through OEM support, who told me to go through ace@crystaldecisions.com (ha ha), but forwarded my inquiry to them anyway, at which point it was finally acted upon.
