Howdy,
I have this little problem thats been bothering me for some time.
I'm running Windows 2000 and every day my Recent documents folder empties itself. Anybody know how to change the setting so that this won't happen. I've tried this solution.

Pressed the start button, clicked on run.
Ran the Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE).

Opened HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\
CurrentVersion\ Policies\ Explorer.

Double-clicked on the NoRecentDocsHistory value in the rightpane -
Changed 01,00,00,00 to 00,00,00,00

Repeated the last two steps on the NoRecentDocsMenu value and restarted Windows for the change to take effect but it didn't work.

Let me know if you have any suggestions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Caleb

Have you checked the Local Security policy on this system? Or if it is in a Domain you may want to check the Group Policies. Group Policy and or the Local Security policy has settings for the Recent Documents folder. It is worth a try.

Hope this helps
