Receiving NDR Code 5.0.0

A user is trying to send out an email and is receiving the NDR code 5.0.0. I have the "NDR List of Codes" and can see what the error means, but it means nothing to me without a solution. Everything I list relates to Exchange 2000, but I am on Exchange 2003. Two questions: (1) how can I fix this problem so this error doesn't come back? (2) are there any other NDR Code lists out there that show what the code error means, along with the solutions?
