Hi all,

I am getting the following error when trying to connect to database xyz on an AIX 4.3 server:

db2 => connect to xyz
SQL1036C An I/O error occurred while accessing the database. SQLSTATE=58030

The following are errors in the corresponding db2diag.log:

2003-03-03-10.33.32.060926 Instance:db2inst1 Node:000
PID:116408(db2agent (XYZ)) Appid:*LOCAL.db2inst1.030303153331
data_protection sqlpsize Probe:20 Database:XYZ
DIA3711C A file "" could not be found.

ZRC=0xFFFFE60A

2003-03-03-10.33.32.160738 Instance:db2inst1 Node:000
PID:116408(db2agent (XYZ)) Appid:*LOCAL.db2inst1.030303153331
data_protection sqlpgint Probe:15 Database:XYZ
DIA3711C A file "" could not be found.

I think this may be a problem with the logfiles. Can someone give me an idea of how to troubleshoot and resolve this issue?

TIA,
Dan

P.S. I'm new to the DB2 arena, and have administered Oracle databases for the last 10 years. I would appreciate any advice on how I could translate my Oracle background to DB2/UDB concepts.
