receiving data from access

Hi,

I'd like my users to be ableto send data from an access 2000 db to a table already created in ms sql that is accessed by a different front end program. I've tried linking tables in access and running an append query but i've run into problems with the p/k.
I know very little about ms sql but would like to use it if possible to do what i need.
Can someone get me started?
