Receiving Automation

We are looking at a way to automate our warehouse receiving using barcodes (currently packslips go to someone who manually enters receipts - finishes about 4pm).

Is there a way to automate the receiving process like this?

Any ideas are appreciated.

a product called Radio Beacon has functionality like this.

pretty $$$ though. You might want to do a search for other barcode automation addons or have someone develop one for you.

you can check maximum data solutions, radio beacon and highjump. like jaz said get ready for $$$.

Hey thanks for the info guys, I'll look into them.

What about a manual way to enter the receipt - I'm not adverse to doing the SQL myself - think that could work? If so how would I go about doing that?

You can create stored procedures which would create shipment or shipment/invoice when the barcode scans the item.

Ok that might be the cheapest way to go (sounds fun/challenging too - writing the program!).

About the stored procedure then.

Looking throught the table listings it looks like the tables for the receipts are POP10300, POP10306, and POP10310.

Would anyone know if I'm missing any?
Also would anyone know what the required fields to fill in would be?
