We have an enterprise edge running version 3.5.
We have 8 trunk lines.
How can I set up a line to be able to either CCR or leave a fax. in other words, the caller is presented with a CCR tree or immediately fax which would leave a fax in a subscriber mailbox. Right now, I have the line set up for auto-attendant with a CCR tree attached, but it is not accepting faxes.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS!
(once I resolve this, i have an outbound fax question!)

I would check that you have set the fax extension under fax properties in the callpilot. The system should take the fax and sent it to the fax extension. What are you trying to acheive? Do you want to send that line and only that line to the fax machine.

THanks Marshall.
Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I don't want to have a fax machine attached. I want to receive all of the faxes via email. It seems that right now, it only works if the root of the ccr is a mailbox.

Ok do you have seperate numbers for the fax lines like a DDI range?

If not like you say you have to have the ccr tree set up to be a transfer to mailbox.

If you have DDI and want a seperate fax number you can use the express messaging option at the bottom of the mailbox. If you enter the target line number in the tab at the bottom. Then set the target line to go to prime and enter the voicemail extension.

Example

Target line 241 has DDI number 800800

The Mailbox is 221 in the call pilot put the target line number in express tab 241.

In the BCM set the target line prime if busy to 471.

Hope this makes sense

Marshall
