Another question. My local PRI for the DIDs has incoming received # length of 3 digits and the LD incoming received for the DNIS is 4 digits. (my error in ordering) Of course default will always go to the console if not recognized) Can i change the public length (max 3) from 3 to 4 and still not have a problem with my local DID's coming in okay? Doesnt seem i can do my incoming toll free name requirement without assigning the target line the 4 digit dnis which wants 3 at this time. Thanks again

 
You should only need to be recieving from your local provider that is giving you your DID numbers.

Long distance on (800) calls inbound usually point to a DID in your range.

Also it only takes telso a few minutes to change from 3 to 4 or visa versa. Ive done it plenty of times on the fly with them on the line on a cut night.
 
Caution: if you change your Public Recvd. up or down it will sometimes erase all recvd. digits in programming. Do as belair posts, have Telco do it.

Sorry, but that's inaccurate.

Changing the Rcvd Digit length from a smaller number to a larger number (ie: from 3 to 4) won't delete the currently programmed received digits. But, going from a larger number to a smaller number (ie: from 4 to 3) will remove all received digits that are larger.

The warning indicator you receive when changing the received digit length is just that, a warning.

So, to answer your question, yes you can change from 3 to 4 and it will work.

Also, one note.. You can have a received digit length of 7 and still have Public Received digits of anything from 7 down to 1.. Example: If you have received digit length of 7 and you type in a received digit of 4, you can press OK and it will take those digits.
