I have been asked to create a number of "Generic" AD accounts, with associated mailboxes.

These accounts should have the ability to receive email messages, but should not be able to send any messages.

I thought this would be relatively easy to achieve, but so far I haven't cracked it.

Windows Server 2003, Exchange 2003, Outlook 2003.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Cheers.

For "receive only", think about "not being able to send" or "deny send". We have covered this many times in this forum so a simple search will give you lots of information.

I have already tried the "deny send" option and it resulted in being prompted for a password when opening Outlook.

Even after inputting the correct password, you are returned to the same username/password dialogue box. Clicking cancel closes Outlook.

I have searched for a solution for this, honestly!
