Hello,

When recalling an email, does Exchange 2000 always require the user to:

1) Accept the recall, before it actually attempts the recall.
2) Logged in to the network.
3) Be using an Outlook client only?

I am seeing that the above conditions must be true in order for an "email recall" to actually work.

Is there a way an Exchange Administrator would be able to perform a recall without any of the above requirements?

Thanks,

Tim

A recall will work on your LAN, or at leat between Exchange servers, BEFORE the message has been read.
If already read, the recall can come through, but the user can ignore, basically, it's too late.

Outlook is not a requirement.
So, in short, the recall can work if the mail has not been delivered or read, but not for an outside address.
