Used 200, New MSC card, no modules in place at this time.
Used HD from a 3.5 200.

When connecting thru serial port, one message is initialization 1.2 in progress. Never changes.

Tried initialization menu, cannot get to intialize. Screen never completes drawing.

I am not trying to save any data or programming.

Second 200, was running test unit. Turned off for two months. Stole modules. Currently no modules. Power light comes on and nothing else happens.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

For the first BCM, do the green LED's on the front of the
unit continue to flash forever or do they become solid at
any point ? If the LED's are still flashing after 30 minutes, then you might have a problem with the harddrive or the MSC card.BTW, what version was the used BCM originally? Could it of been damaged or defective?

As for the second BCM,try replacing the same modules that were originally in it and see if it comes up.

Good Luck

First BCM 3,4,5,6,7,8 have been flashing this time for fifteen minutes or more. I have swapped in a known working HD and a known working MSC.

I am thinking that I need to reimage the HDs as they both came from other units.

As for the second module. I am not sure what was in it. I put in a 32+ and a GATM 4.

The original BCM is using the same HD it was removed from service with due to a failed MSC. I have even swapped in a BFT.
I know there is a MaintOS partition on the HD, is there some way to reimage the drive from there?
I no longer have the 3.6 image disks I was previously using to create a virgin drive.
