Hi there:
The file seems to split in two with a ^1 extension is this normal. Are we suppose to merge the files or does the rebuild utility will do it at the end of the utility?

Btrieve files larger than 2 GB are split into extension files (the ^01 files) with Pervasive.SQL 7.0 and later (2000i and V8). This is normal and allows the files to be cross platform as some platforms don't support files greater than 2GB.
You as the user/developer don't need to do anything special in regards to those files. You don't need to merge the files before a rebuild. The Rebuild Utility will take care of it. The Pervasive engine will take care of the extension files during a rebuild and even during normal operations. info@mirtheil.com

Thanks for the information Mirtheil. Another question is there a way to tell if the rebuild utility is still running and to have an idea how long will take? We are running this from an NT server 4.0.
Best regards

Are you using the Win32 Rebuild Utility? If so, when it's running, it should display a status with the number of records processed and the number remaining. How long it takes will depend on the number of records and the record size. info@mirtheil.com
