rebuild .plb library

Make sure you really mean 2.6, not 2.6a -- it makes a difference.

Next you'll need a copy of FPD 2.6 (or 2.6a) with the Library Construction Kit installed.

The link you provided is to an existing PLB. Why do you need to rebuild it? If all you need to do is use it, SET LIBRARY TO it and the functions it contains will be available to you.

I am not an expert on legacy Foxpro, but I am quite sure

1. If this compares to Visual FoxPros FLL, you can use an older FLL with the corresponding runtimes with a newer VFP version.
I assume the same goes for FPD: FPD 2.6 could then use a 2.5 plb, if the 2.5 runtimes are put to it.
2. If you don't have the sources of the plb you can't recompile the plb. Like you can't recompile an EXE, DLL or FLL, but if the plb runs with the 2.5 runtime you also don't need to recompile.

So the message is only half the truth, of course a plb does not need a rebuild, if the correct runtimes are provided.
Especially the/C++ runtime a plb may need and anything from the LCK needed.
The only thing you can't do is incude the plb into your final EXE.

Bye, Olaf.
