I am trying to restore a netware 5.0 server that crashed.
I bought a new hp server and transfered my tape drive to the new machine. I just want to bring up the new machine in a basic format so i can load backup exec and do a restore from the tape backup. when I boot to the floppy I get the dos loaded but dont have the dos drivers to run the cdrom, and reinstall novell.

any suggestions?

Thanks

Chuck

Is your HP server new enough to boot from the cdrom drive without the drivers. Most technologies today support booting from cd, and NW 5.x is in bootable format so you should be able to get the base load onto it.

If that does not work, you will need the ATAPI cdrom drivers. You can download them from anyonme *Even HP* and install them on the dos side and then install.
