I am using Arcserve Brightstor 11.5 sp2 on Server 2003 R2. I rebooted the old server and had to run a chkdsk on the partition where Brightstor is located. I also had a broken trust which required me pulling the server off the domain and putting it back on . . .

Upon opening up arcserve to run the backup jobs, most of the jobs and the media sets created are no longer there.

I ran a db fix on the main arserve VLDB and it returned no errors.

I cannot duplicate the jobs/media sets easily as they were created well before my arrival at this site. I also don't have any Application media with which to create a new DB, if that's the problem.

I need your suggestions on how to proceed. . .

-Does brightstor have a local backup of the DB? if that is the problem, how do I restore?
-how do I narrow down the issue . . . what Logs should I be looking into?
-How do i recreate media sets? . . do I connect the media and merge it?

Please, tek-tips guidance is the best anywhere!
