Hi to all,

I need to know why is necessary the reboot of devices (cisco, lucent, and a lor of others) after 497 days, on the sysuptime.

regards,

Douglas

In most cases is because of errors... But who really knows!
Have you heard the phrase Microsoft reboot?

It is not necessary---did anything reboot, and you are asking why it would, or are you asking IF it is necessary to reboot them? A Cisco device, no---any device, if it ain't broke, don't fix/reboot it...lol

Never heard that one and have seen many cisco devices with uptimes of 1000 plus days . You don't need to reboot anything unless you are having a problem .

Last year I replaced a Cisco 3500 which had an uptime of just under 4 years!
