Hi,

I copied over the shutdown.exe file from a Windows XP computer to my Windows 2000 server. I created a scheduled task to run at midnight every Sunday to reboot the server. The switches I'm passing to shutdown.exe are -r (reboot) -t 01 (one second wait). According to the logs, the task is running at midnight and it is returning an exit status of 0 however the Event Viewer shows no indication that the services were started after reboot. Also my automatic update still complains that the server has not been rebooted since the last software update which was done 2 weeks ago.

Does anyone know what maybe wrong?
